PLASTERMIC 3A

Covering film with excellent properties and long life

 Triple co-extruded film manufactured in 200mu (800 gauges), enhancing the properties of the film with the correct application of raw material in each layer. The installation of a covering film over the greenhouse structure sometimes present economic problems and difficulties to find the appropriate people to install it when the cover has to be changed. With long life film such as the Platermic 3A, the time to change the film is longer , without losing the optical properties of the film.

PROPERTIES AN APPLICATIONS

 This films has been specially designed to cover tunnels and greenhouses, providing a high resistance to degradation for solar radiation or chemical attacks, due to is special package of U.V. additives. It has a minimum duration of 3 years in a climatology such as Almería with 145 kly.

 The external layers give the film excellent mechanical properties, high transmission of visible light within the greenhouse (luminosity) and an important diffusing factor so necessary for those places with a strong radiation. The central layer gives thermicity (avoiding important falling of temperatures at night), and flexibility.

PLASTERMIC 3C

Triple co-extruded film manufactured in 200 microns (u) from different copolymers EVA and LDPE that give the film a translucent appearance. The correct application of the different raw materials in each layer enhances the film properties.
This film has been designed to cover greenhouses and tunnels that need protection against harsh weather conditions, solar radiation and chemical attack. The special package of U.V. additives offers a long life use depending on the radiation level in the area.

External Layer
RESISTANT AND ANTI-ADHERENT

This layer gives the film its rigidity and tear resistance.
This layer is the one in contact with the exterior and therefore the first to receive the solar radiation. For that reason it is provided with an extra package of U.V. additives, which means better protection for the two layers beneath. This layer also has an anti-adherent additive that prevents settlement of dust.



Central Layer:
THERMIC, TRANSPARENT AND FLEXIBLE

The central layer, with a high EVA content, gives good flexibility and transparency to the film. It provides a very good thermicity: the cooling effect inside the greenhouse is below 13%. This avoids sharp nocturnal and diurnal temperature differentials and the risk of frost which are harmful to the plant.


Internal Layer:
HIGH DIFFUSION AND RESISTANCE AGAINST PESTICIDES

The internal layer provides good light diffusion that eliminates the shadows from within the greenhouse and allows an equal distribution of light across the crop, thus increasing yield. It has a special package of co-stabilisers that offers a good performance against different chemical attacks such as pesticides and insecticides used in agriculture. It will also offer protection against structural oxides.

    Triple co-extruded LDPE film manufactured in 200 microns (u) with a special package of U.V. (type Hals) and IR additives for good thermic and diffusing effect.

    PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS

    This film has been designed to cover greenhouses and tunnels in areas with a harsh climate. The excellent mechanical properties mean an optimum performance against conditions such as wind, rain, hail, etc. It has a special package of co-stabilisers that offers a good performance against chemical attacks.


    It contains as well a special package of thermic additives in order to thermo-regulate the cultivated area. These additives provide a barrier against the loss of long wave Infra Red radiation (7-14u), which is emitted by the earth during the night. This provides as well a very good thermicity: the cooling effect inside the greenhouse is below 13%, thus avoiding sharp nocturnal and diurnal temperature differentials and the risk of frost which are harmful to the plant, (thermic inversion).


    With a high light diffusion, the film eliminates shadows from within the greenhouse and allows an equal distribution of light across the crop, thus increasing yield.


    The U.V. additives provide a high resistance to solar deterioration. The sheet offers a guaranteed minimum of two seasons use, when covering a greenhouse in an area with a usual solar radiation of 145 kly per year.

  • High transparency to solar radiation (95%) allowing the greenhouse to rapidly warm up during the day.
  • Optimum thermic effect: the cooling effect inside the greenhouse is below 15%, which lowers the risk of frost

  • Not recommended for areas with strong winds and high contamination of dust in the environment.
  • Recommended for areas with little luminosity.

    PLASTERMIC TH FS
