SOTRAFILM BN HYDROPONICS

  • Three layer co-extrusion LDPE and LLDPE film, thicknesses starting from 100 . Black and White.
  • This film has been designed to be used as the bearer of the substratum for hydroponics crops.
  • Great mechanical properties and strong resistance to tearing.
  • The white provides a homogeny extra-photoluminic nutrition for the plant because of its light reflection effect.
  • It aids precocity and optimum crop production
  • Thanks to the reflection effect, the film becomes less hot than the black one. This way we avoid the risk of burns of the plant by contact with the film.
  • It repels aphids and insects especially when the crop is young.
  • The black colour blocks the solar light transmission, preventing weed growth.
  • It prevents excessive heating of the ground in summer plantations.

    FLOATING COVER / DIRECT COVER

  • Three layer co-extrusion LDPE and copolymers EVA perforated film manufactured in different thicknesses
    (starting from 40) depending on the width required (up to 12 m).
  • Very simple to install as it does not need any fixing because the crop itself is used as support of the film.
  • Semi-forced system.
  • Different perforation frames: 250 perforations/m2 (-2% ventilation), 500 perforations/m2 (-4% ventilation).
    Diameter of perforation - 10 mm.
  • The ventilation under the film prevents the thermic stress that would otherwise be produced in the plants due to an excessive increase of temperature underneath. On the ther hand, it lets water flow through in case of rain.
  • It maintains the structure of the ground, reduces transparency, and generates windbreak and tunnel effect.
  • The film is available with anti-condensation effect.
  • Very good results in crops like lettuce and different kinds of cabbage.
